And the Future of Education.
That's a bold statement yet it's entirely justified. From Maine to Marin County, British Columbia to Talahasee, Personalized Learning - or PL - is emerging as the most exciting and disruptive initiative in education in generations.
Progressive educators, administrators and counselors, business and community leaders, and parents and learners have been advocating on behalf of PL for many years. And many pioneers have helped blaze the way, knowing in our hearts we must nurture the learners of today - tomorrow's citizens and leaders - in new ways that enable each of them to thrive.
The Personalized Learning Academy, launching in 2018, will be a portal for educators, administrators, families, learners and others to make sense of PL and help you grow your knowledge and expertise about the most important facets of Personalized Learning: its approaches, academic contexts, pedagogical responses, assessment and evaluative approaches, and its outcomes.
It's a very exciting time and we invite you to join us in helping 'nurture and launch the butterflies' we know as the children and youth we serve, and that live in ourselves, too. In doing so we'll be exploring and seeding the educational future so many of us have been yearning for.

The world is changing rapidly and education must change, too.
Today, thanks to research pouring in from neuroscience, psychology and education, and with assistance from IT, personalizing learning will help to ensure that each learner's uniquely personal strengths and talents are optimized.
If you're an educator, administrator, learner or parent wishing to deepen your knowledge and expertise about this brave, new emerging word, the Personalized Learning Academy will help meet your needs and interests.
It’s time for a new definition of human intelligence that ...
emphasizes the value of an individual’s personal journey.
That extends the time course of intelligence from a two-hour
testing session of decontextualized problem solving
to a lifetime of deeply meaningful engagement.
